Tucked just moments from the ocean in the heart of Venice, 616 Sunset Avenue is more than a fourplex—it’s the beginning of Source Group’s journey. This 1960s-era building stood quietly for decades, modest in appearance but full of potential. When we discovered it, the charm was there—original layouts, solid bones, and a location rich in culture and creative energy. It just needed someone to bring it back to life with intention.

What drew us in was more than the numbers. It was the character of the property, the flow of light through its windows, the feel of a space that could once again feel like home. With three units vacant and one long-term tenant, the canvas was wide open. We saw an opportunity not just to renovate, but to thoughtfully elevate—preserving the essence of the building while aligning it with modern living.

The transformation will focus on refined details: upgraded kitchens and baths, natural textures, fresh finishes, and curated outdoor spaces that reflect the spirit of Venice. In time, we’ll add two thoughtfully designed ADUs, transforming the underutilized back lot into warm, livable spaces that contribute to the community’s housing stock. Like the cairns that guide our brand philosophy, this project marks a step along the path toward intentional, sustainable, human-centered development.
