Richard Selby II is the founder and CEO of Source Group. Drawing from a multigenerational legacy—his father, Rick Selby, founded R.W. Selby & Co. in 1975—Richard was immersed early in the world of value-add multifamily real estate, gaining firsthand experience in acquisitions, operations, and strategic renovation at scale.

After earning a degree in Urban Studies from Loyola Marymount University, he launched Source Group to extend that legacy through a disciplined, impact-driven investment platform. Grounded in values of integrity, efficiency, and long-term stewardship, Source Group acquires and improves multifamily communities across the United States—prioritizing resident quality of life, asset performance, and sustainable value creation for investors.
